Thermal purification
The central component is a thermal water purification unit. In this unit, we let the water evaporate and condensate again, eliminating all undesired components. There is no pre-treatment or chemicals necessary.
We add minerals at the end in order to enhance the nutritious characteristics of Acuago water.

Desalination always requires energy. Our focus is on solar energy, which allows a sustainable production of drinking water without any additional infrastructure. For those of you with access to the grid, you can also connect the system to external power supply for 24 hours of operation.

A focus on the user
Acuago is a family-sized system. As a user, you can produce between 10 (solar-only) and 25 (solar + grid) litres of drinking water every day. Anyone can install and maintain the system, there is no technical expertise needed. To get water into the system, you can connect it to the tab, use any kind of pump or even fill it by hand (e.g. with a bucket). In order to clean it, you only need a brush.

Acuago allows you to make your own, clean water from any source. This will save you time and money from handling your drinking water supply. Also, you will achieve a maximum level of autarky and independence as you do not need any additional infrastructure. The solar panels can even supply you with extra energy during daytime (we do not include batteries in the package).

For us, the environmental factor is important. The immediate effect of using Acuago is a reduction in the use of plastic bottles and minimized emissions by focusing on renewable energy for purification. There are more positive aspects such as reduced emissions from transport of water and conservation of natural sweet water reserves.
